About a Mellow Mood
A Spa For Mamas & their Families: On December 17, 2004, HeatherLyn gave birth to her first daughter, Ally Josephine. In an instant, she was exposed to a brand new world- the one of motherhood. HeatherLyn was determined to make her way through stylish, fresh and inspired. A Mellow Mood came to be because HeatherLyn wanted a place for herself. A baby-friendly, mama-friendly, natural spa. A Mellow Mood is a celebration of all things natural beauty and wellness. Our local Boulder spa is a destination for new and expectant mothers and their families looking to feeling as good as they possibly can, knowing that the products being used are healthy and effective. Style, beauty and joy are at our fingertips. Be a Mellow Mama. A Mellow Mood's Philosophy: Be a Mellow Mama. We are the Creative Directors of our families. Our emotional and physical wellness can set the tone of our homes. The Mama-Tide is turning. Taking care of one-self is the new wave. Happy Mama=Happy Baby. My proudest parenting moment: Seeing my girls meet each other for the first time. Upon hearing her big sister's voice bounding down the hospital hallway, baby Kate looked around the room, searching for that voice that she knew so well already. Joey barreled into the room and their eyes connected with razor sharp focus. That connection is one I will never forget, made me feel whole. The proudest moments in my career: Attending births as a doula and witnessing the power of women and a baby's first breath. I define downtime as: Books. Fashion Magazines. Coffee. Repeat. My guiltiest pleasure: Flying to Chicago to see my best friends, flying solo, sleeping solo with a stack of magazines and late night recordings of Rachel Zoe and Project Runway episodes. I can't believe I forgot: My coffee cup on the top of my car. Again. Patience. Patience. Patience. My parenting motto in 5 words or less: Try to do less A typical Sunday morning: Mama sleeps in. Chef Papa makes breakfast and we do nothing. My favorite moment of the day: Plopping down on the couch at the end of the day with my hubby. Girls are down. Relief. Exhaustion. Fortune. Laughter. |
